A nice walk through the woods mostly following trails
The Grater Woods of Merrimack, NH is new conservation land and is a very cool place to explore. There are a number of beaver ponds, an unnamed lake and at least two heron nests.
If you find this cache, keep on hiking for a bit longer and try to find the Greater Grater Woods Cache!
Park at the Merrimack Middle School parking lot at 42.869676, -71.542955 (+42° 52' 10.83", -71° 32' 34.64") and hike in from there.
Directions to MMS:
Take the Everrett to Exit 11 in Merrimack. If from the south, take a RIGHT at the end of the ramp. If from the north, take a bear to the right and take 2 RIGHTs back under the highway.
Take a LEFT on to RT-3 (at the corner is the gravesite for
Matthew Thornton, signer of the Declaration of Independence)
go for ~2 miles.
Take LEFT onto Baboosic Lake Road (gas station on the corner) go ~2 miles until a traffic light. Go straight across to the Merrimack Middle School and park.
