Helppo peruspurkki luontopolun varrella.
Kätkö sijaitsee Virnamäen kulttuuriluontopolun varrella rautakautisen uhrikiven läheisyydessä. Uhrikivessä on useita n. 5 cm suuruisia pyöreäpohjaisia kuoppia. Kuppeihin on rautakaudella uhrattu esim. viljanjyviä tai lehmän ensimaitoa. Näin pyrittiin turvaamaan jatkuva sato tai karjaonni. Kuppeihin kertynyttä vettä on myös käytetty silmä- ja ihosairauksien parantamiseen.
Luontopolku alkaa Halistenkosken tuntumasta koordinaateista N 60*27.917 E 022*18.404 ja uhrikivi on sen viimeinen rasti. Polun kokonaispituus on noin 1,5 km. Kätkölle pääsee suorempaankin, mutta suosittelemme koko lenkin kiertämistä. Polun varrella on tietoa alueen kasvillisuudesta, eläimistöstä ja historiasta. Autot ja polkupyörät suositellaan jätettävän Halistenkosken paikoitusalueelle.

This cache is located along nature trail of Virnamäki near Iron Age sacrifice stone. On the sacrifice stone there is several round holes. At Iron Age they used to sacrifice for example grain or milk to gain better circumstances for farming or cattle raising. Also water in holes was good potion for eye or skin diseases.
Nature trail starts from Halistenkoski rapids at N 60*27.926 E 022*18.357. Sacrifice stone is trails last stop. The whole trip is approx. 1,5 km. You can go also strait to cache but we recommend to take the whole trip. Along the trail there are signs which give information about the plants, animals and history of the area. It’s recommended that you park your car or bicycle at Halistenkoski parking-lot.
