1st Annual MARC Geocache Bash being promoted by the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg.
This event is being held at the Municipal Activity and Recreation Complex located in Dayspring, just outside of Bridgewater, overlooking the LaHave River.
Morning information sessions are from 10 a.m. -12 p.m. for beginners and experienced cachers.
Lunch will be available on site for a minimal cost.Chili, rolls and hotdogs.
Afternoon activities include demo caches, kids scavenger hunt, closest to the pin, kids cache and door prize draws.
There will be various displays including camo- containers and geocoin collections.
A new Municipal TB will be launched for all to discover. There will be an event coin which is trackable with its' own icon for sale-$10 each.Also a new cache will be posted on the day of the event.
After Cache Placement week-end there are now 87 caches within the 15 km radius. The Municipality are avid supporters of geocaching as an equal recreational opportunity for all having caches located in their parks throughout the county: GCV7CW, GCKEQQ, GCTGEW, GCXN1W, GCY0CX
Ammenities such as food, gas, supplies, shopping, etc, are available in nearby Bridgewater. Overnight accommadations are available in Bridgewater, Lunenburg and Mahone Bay.
