This cache is in the Greenbelt Park just south of the Fort Lauderdale Airport. This Park was established in 1989 to protect the homeowners directly west (Maleluca Isles) from excess noise from aircraft by the berm effect. This park was hit hard after Hurricane Wilma however with the great job of the landscape team after only one year the damage is hardly noticeable. The area has a great walking route I think it’s about a mile, some hills are included. This park is also dog friendly and has two lakes.
The park is open from sunrise to sunset seven days a week. A great place to pick-up or send TB’s along their journey. Enjoy the park! And don’t forget to bring the family canine.
