I HATE LAMP POST CACHES
!!!
An Evil Frog
Prince Cache
Lamp post
caches require minimal skill or intelligence to find and even less
to hide. The only thing they are good for is to increase your
“numbers”.
Some caches
are hidden under the cover and require only a primitive
mono-synaptic reflex response to locate the container. The more
creative caches are magnetic nano-containers placed 20 feet or more
up the pole. To successfully retrieve this type of cache, I started
carrying a cane fishing pole in my car when
geocaching.
When the
Princess found out what the fishing pole was for, she sent me to a
therapist.
My therapist
suggested behavior modification therapy to assist in overcoming my
intense dislike for lamp post caches. After weeks of graded
exposure where I was required to visualize and eventually touch a
picture of a lamp post cache, she said I was ready to use positive
reinforcement to win victory over my aversion. Her assignment was
for me to hide a lamp post cache and experience the joy of watching
hordes of geocachers rush to the cache. Each email notification
that the cache has been found serves to reinforce my joy and
eventually aid in overcoming my hatred for lamp post
caches.
Thank you
for aiding in my recovery. Please replace the cache exactly as
found so others can share in the JOY!
Be sure to
bring a pen to sign the log. Posting a find without signing the log
will result in a less than joyous deletion of the
entry.
As you leave
to hunt for the cache ... don't forget your fishing pole
!!!
