1. N 42°33.220’ E 12°25.002’ Porta Romana
Nelle vicinanze delle coordinate di partenza, troverete sicuramente un parcheggio per la vostra vettura. Così prende inizio il nostro tour attraverso le vie della antica cittadina umbra, che esiste giá da piú di 3000 anni.
Sulla Porta Romana vedete uno stemma dipinto. Da quante lettere viene decorato lo stemma? A=numero delle lettere.
2. N 42°33.273’ E 12°25.003’ Monumento ai caduti
Su questa piazza vi si trova un monumento ai caduti, il quale viene recintato colonnine di pietra. Quante colonnine contate? B=numero delle colonnine
Sugg.: Vi trovate difronte al museo archeologico d’Amelia, nel quale si trova la famosa statua di Germanico, una importante statua in bronzo di epoca romana.
Da qui pochi segnali GPS, Vi consigliamo di andare a fiuto o di chiedere informazioni ai cittadini.
3. N 42°33.396’ E 12°24.918’ Chiesa S. Lucia
Quante colonnine contate sulla facciata della chiesa di S. Lucia? C=numero di colonnine
Sugg.: L’anitca chiesa é stata distrutta durante la seconda guerra mondiale, e fù ricostruita poco dopo.
4. N 42°33.439’ E 12°24.960’ Belvedere
Attraverso un arco raggiungete il belvedere con un meraviglioso panorama pittoresco. Quanti balconi si trovano sull arco? D=numero di balconi
Sugg.: Dal belvedere riuscite a vedere Villa Aspreta, che fù progettata da Antonio da Sangallo il giovane, che costruì a suo tempo anche il noto Pozzo di S. Patrizio ad Orvieto.
5. N 42°33.430’ E 12°24.870’ Torre Campanaria
Sul punto piú alto della città si trova la torre Campanaria di Amelia.Da quanti angoli consiste la torre? E=numero della somma delle cifre
Sugg.: La torre si puó visitare solo pochi giorni all anno e solo su richiesta.
6. N 42°33.520’ E 12°24.736’ Cisterne Romane
Sulla bacheca potete leggere il numero dei vani delle cisterne romane. F=numero dei grandi vani.
Sugg.: Durante l’estate e possibile visitare le cisterne nei giorni festivi.
7. N 42°33.441’ E 12°24.646’ Porta della Valle
Prima della costruzione della Porta Romana, questa porta era l’entrata più importante della città. Quante pietre sporgenti vi si trovano sopra la porta? G=somma di pietre sporgenti
Sugg.: Sè continuate il sentiero per N 42°33.447’ E 12°24.591’ avete una bellissima visuale sulla valle dell Rio Grande mentre calcolate le coordinate del cache (Attenzione, non cascate dalla roccia!)
8. N 42°33.(A)(C-A)(B-D)’ E 12°24.(G+D)(F-B)(E-D)’ Cache
Dalla Porta della Valle potete tornare alla Porta Romana seguendo il suggestivo sentiero lungo le mura poligonali.

Because this little town was not built for GPS- receivers, you will need a good nose to find all the stations and it will take some time to find them. Information that are not necessary to find the cache but maybe interesting are marked as TIPP.
1. N 42°33.220’ E 12°25.002’ Porta Romana
You can find a parking place near the start coordinates. And then start your sightseeing tour through the over 3000 years old Town of the Umbrer.
At the “Porta Romana“ you find the painted town device.
A= Number of letters in the device.
2. N 42°33.273’ E 12°25.003’ war memorial
At this small place you find a war memorial. B= Number of stone pillars in the fence arround the memorial.
TIPP: Nearby is the archaeological museum, where Germanicus, a famous bronze statue is displayed.
From now on less: GPS but more nose or Italian knowledge necessary.
3. N 42°33.396’ E 12°24.918’ Chiesa S. Lucia
At this place you find a church which is given to the S. Lucia. C= Number of stone coulombs at the facade. TIPP: The church was totally destroyed in the 2nd world war and was rebuilt later.
4. N 42°33.439’ E 12°24.960’ Viewpoint
D= Number of balconies over (!) the underpass.
TIPP: If the weather is fine you can see from this point the Villa Spreta, with its wonderful cypress avenue. It was built from the renowned architect (Antonio da Sangallo the younger) who also built the famous S. Patrics fountain in Orvieto.
5. N 42°33.430’ E 12°24.870’ Torre CCampanariaivica
On the highest point of the city you find the bell tower of Amelia. Count the edges and calculate the sum of digits=E.
TIPP: The tower can be visited only on a few days a year and on demand.
6. N 42°33.520’ E 12°24.736’ Cisterne Romane
Read on the blackboard how many large rooms built the roman cisterns. F= Number of main rooms.
TIPP: During the summer you can visit the cisterns on Sundays and holidays.
7. N 42°33.441’ E 12°24.646’ Porta della Valle
Before building the Porta Romana gate, this was the most important entrance to the city. G= Number of stone made holders rise out of the wall above the gate.
TIPP: Take a short visit to N 42°33.447’ E 12°24.591’ meanwhile you calculate the coordinates of the cache. You will have a wonderful view over the Rio Grande valley. (Attention: don’t fall down the rock!)
8. N 42°33.(A)(C-A)(B-D)’ E 12°24.(G+D)(F-B)(E-D)’ Cache
From the gate Porta della Valle you can easily reach the gate Porta Romana following the lovely path besides the city wall.

Da das alte Städtchen nicht für GPS-Empfänger gebaut wurde, ist ein wenig Spürsinn nötig um alle Stationen zu finden und Ihr solltet ein wenig Zeit mitbringen. Informationen, die für den eigentlichen Cache nicht benötigt werden aber interessant sein könnten sind mit TIPP: gekennzeichnet.
1. N 42°33.220’ E 12°25.002’ Porta Romana
In der Nähe der Startkoordinaten findet Ihr sicher einen Parkplatz. Und schon geht die Sightseeing-Tour durch das über 3000 Jahre alte Städtchen der Umbrer los.
An der “Porta Romana“ findet Ihr das gemalte Stadtwappen. A= Anzahl der Buchstaben.
2. N 42°33.273’ E 12°25.003’ Kriegerdenkmal
An diesem kleinen Platz findet Ihr ein Kriegerdenkmal. B= Anzahl der steinernen Pfosten der umgebenden Einzäunung.
TIPP: In Der Nähe befindet sich das archäologische Museum, in dem der Germanicus, eine berühmte Bronzestatue aus römischer Zeit zu bestaunen ist.
Ab hier: wenig GPS dafür viel Spürsinn oder Italienischkenntnisse erforderlich.
3. N 42°33.396’ E 12°24.918’ Chiesa S. Lucia
An diesem Platz befindet sich eine Kirche die der hl. Lucia gewidmet ist. C= Anzahl der Steinsäulen in der Fassade. TIPP: Die Kirche wurde im 2. Weltkrieg vollkommen Zerstört und danach neu aufgebaut.
4. N 42°33.439’ E 12°24.960’ Aussichtspunkt
D= Anzahl der Balkone, die sich über(!) der Durchfahrt befinden.
TIPP: Von diesem Punkt aus seht bei gutem Wetter ihr die Villa Aspreta mit ihrer wunderschönen Zypressenallee. Diese wurde vom gleichen Architekten (Antonio da Sangallo d.j.) wie der Patriziusbrunnen in Orvieto geplant.
5. N 42°33.430’ E 12°24.870’ Torre Campanaria
Am Höchsten Punkt der Stadt findet ihr den Torre Campanaria. E= Quersumme der Anzahl der Turmecken.
TIPP: Es gibt leider keine regelmäßigen Besichtigungstermine für diesen Turm.
6. N 42°33.520’ E 12°24.736’ Cisterne Romane
Auf der Schautafel über die unterirdischen römischen Zisternen könnt Ihr lesen, aus wie vielen Haupträumen sie bestehen. F= Anzahl der Haupträume.
TIPP: Im Sommer können die Zisternen an Sonn- und Feiertagen besichtigt werden.
7. N 42°33.441’ E 12°24.646’ Porta della Valle
Vor der Errichtung der Porta Romana galt dieses Tor als wichtigster Eingang zur Stadt. G= Anzahl der steinernen Halter über dem Tor.
TIPP: Wenn Ihr ein Stück weitergeht nach N 42°33.447’ E 12°24.591’ habt Ihr eine wunderschöne Aussicht auf das Tal des Rio Grande. Dort könnt die Zielkoordinaten berechnen (Vorsicht hier geht es sehr steil nach unten!).
8. N 42°33.(A)(C-A)(B-D)’ E 12°24.(G+D)(F-B)(E-D)’ Cache
Von der Porta della Valle aus könnt Ihr außen an der Stadtmauer entlang zurück zur Porta Romana gelangen.
