Geocache Description:

An ammo box along a lonely road near Olathe.

The first cache (Rowdy’s Cache GC1E5)was placed here by Rowdy on Febuary 3, 2001. It is one of the oldest caches in the KC area. The cache had 143 total logs before it was archived April 13, 2006 after being muggled for the fourth time. Rowdy never found a cache and this is the only cache he ever hid. In his last log he mentioned a serious heart ailment. It is unknown what happened to him. We hope he is doing well.

This version of the cache is a small ammo box with various trade items. It is placed very near the same location as the original cache and you can park right on the shoulder of the road to get this one. It is not easy access from I-35, although it may look like it from maps. It is not on private property and there is no need to cross a fence to get to the cache.

There is a first to find prize of an unactivated Generic GEOCOIN!!! Congratulations to the Cottinghams for being FTF and claiming the FTF Geocoin prize. The original Rowdy's Cache was their first find 5 years ago.
