MaMiFKa: 11 ½ year, nearly 5000 founds.
I think it is time to close this cache.
The original idea where the first 5-6 cache containers was a real Tor's Hammer has not been available for many years now - since then there has not been anything special about this cache, and I mostly like caches which has something special about them.

Denne cache er dedikeret til en af de gamle nordiske guder; Tor og hans hammer, Mjølner.

This cache is dedicated to one of the old nordic gods; Tor (Thor) and his hammer, Mjølner.

Venligst ikke læg noget i cachen, da magneten ikke er kraftig nok til bære mere.

Tor, tordenguden, er den stærkeste af guderne og den gud som kæmper mod jætterne for at beskytte menneskenes verden.
Han har rødt hår og skæg og ugedagen torsdag er opkaldt efter ham. Han er søn af Odin (onsdag) asernes/gudernes konge og jættekvinden Jord.
Når Tor kører henover himlen i sin vogn trukket af gederne, Tandgnost og Tandgrisner, lyner og tordner det.
Tor har 3 magiske ting, som han bruger i kampen mod jætterne; styrkebæltet Megingjord som fordobler hans kræfter, jernhandskerne og hammeren Mjølner, som altid rammer og vender tilbage til Tor.

Tor, the god of thunder, is the strongest of all gods and the god who fight "jætterne" to protect the human world.
He has red hair and red beard, and in the nordic language thursday(torsdag) has been named after him. He is the son of Odin(onsdag/wednesday) king of the gods and the "jætte"-woman Jord (earth).
When he travel in the sky in his wagon driven by the two goats, Tandgnost and Tandgrisner, the sky is full of thunder and lightning.
Tor has 3 magical things, he uses in his fight with "jætterne"; Megingjord the belt of strenght, the iron gloves and the hammer Mjølner, that allways hits the target and returns to Tor.

Cachen ligger ved indgangen til Nationalmuseet, hvor der en stor samling fra den danske oldtid over vikingetid, med mange referencer til Tor og hans hammer.
Der er gratis adgang til Nationalmuseet. Gå en tur derind - der er åbent tirsdag til søndag kl. 10-17.

The cache is located by the entrance to the National Museum of Denmark. Here is a large collection from the Old Norse and the viking period with many references to Tor and his hammer.
Admission is free at the National Museum. Go inside - its open tuesday to sunday from 10-17.
