Geocache Description:

Watson's Pond is a scenic State Park off of Bay St. in Taunton. Used mostly for fishing and picnicing. You can swim, picnic, etc..., pets are welcome in the park, but the beach and the sand is fenced in, so the beach stays very clean. Great for little ones, cuz they can't get away! Just to let you know, this is a state park now and they charge a $5.00 parking fee in the summer time. The cache is an easy find, but not worth it if you are just going to run in and out. Thanks

The cache is a key holder. Be sure to read the plaque about John Gilbert. It is on a rock over by the playground. He is buried there.
