Geocache Description:

GeoCache 1059 is located at the top of a mountain in the Mealy Mountains of Labrador. The only way you are likley to get to this cache is by chopper, or if you happen to be working in the area as Seth and I were.

GeoCache 1059 is located at the top of a mountain in the Mealy Mountains of Labrador. The mountain is known at 1057 by Scientists working in the area, this is because of it' s elevation (1057 m) I forgot the name when I placed the cache and checked my GPS to see the elevation, it said 1059.

The cache is in a length of ABS pipe painted white with a blue cap on each end. It is placed under a rock at the summit of 1057. It should not be hard to find if you happen to find your self in the area.

The Mealy mountains are a truly beautiful area and largely untouched, I had considered building a cairn to place the cache in, but having traveled through and worked in this untouched wilderness I did not want to leave any sign that I was there (other than the cache).

When placed the cache contained: 3 pages of a water proof note book (be careful when you open it if it is windy) a pencil, 4 tealight candles and 5 small geodes.

The only way you are likely to get to this cache is by chopper, or if you happen to be working in the area as Seth and I were.
