This is the first in a series of easy
(terrain 1) lunch hour caches--You will not have to contend
with many of the hazards encountered in Houston area
caching...muddy trails, water, snakes, gators, briars,
brambles, poison ivy, etc. Notice, I did not promise the
absence of mosquitoes or hot weather. That can only be
accomplished by caching indoors with air conditioning. That
is not possible to provide.
This series of
micro caches (LH1, LH2,,,,LHn) is meant to be very easy to locate,
and will usually be less than 1/4 mile total distance. Terrain will
always be a 1 star, but the difficulty will be a 2-4 star, as in
mental, not physical (Brain not Braun). The location of the micro,
and first WP, if a multi, will be a very easy to get to area. All
points of the multi caches can be completed during a lunch
hour. Normally it will be in a park with paved trails or cut
grass, playgrounds and picnic areas nearby. The difficulty will be
in locating the actual object needed for the final cache, or if
it's a traditional micro, locating the actual micro container. Most
of the final caches will only contain a log sheet. If the micro
container is the traditional 35 mm film container, I will try to
include a short stubby pencil for you to enter your
log.
Please note: Do not disassemble
any public property while locating these caches!! It is not
necessary in order to find them.
**** The caches in this series can be
found in any sequence and each is independent of the others
****
This cache is located in a park
that
has picnic areas, playgrounds, and
restrooms.
At the first waypoint
you will find an object that has a lot of numbers on it, some in
digital form and some in a word form. Look for the number (Y) that
is in written form. It occurs on this object twice. Multiply this
number (Y) by 12 and add 6 to the product: A=((Y X 12) + 6).
ADD this total (A) to the NORTHcoordinate (decimal
minutes) of Waypoint 1. Now multiply the number (Y) by 13 and add 5
to that product: B=((Y X 13) + 5). SUBTRACT
this total(B)
from the WEST
coordinate (decimal minutes) of Waypoint 1 This will
give you the coordinates to the final micro cache. This is
not a traditional micro container and it only contains a log
sheet. Please bring your own pen to enter your
log.
You may observe a lot of activity in this
park, but you should be able to retrieve the cache without drawing
attention to yourself.
