Join GCCO with Cheyenne Mountain State Park on June 25th at the Limekiln Trailhead as we give back to the park that hosted our festivities this weekend! The CITO starts at 10:00AM and lasts until Noon. We will be cleaning up the trails, removing the temporary geocaches, and as a unique twist; taking part in a "special project" for the Friends of Cheyenne Mountain State Park (details closer to the event date). Near the end of the CITO we will gather back at the trailhead to announce the winners of this year's Amazing Geocache Race, and also announce the location of next year's event.

This event is hosted at Cheyenne Mountain State Park. Like most Colorado State parks, they require a Pass or fee for entrance into the park. More info on these fees can be found at http://cpw.state.co.us/placestogo/parks/CheyenneMountain
GCCO likes to provide some things to make the event easier. Below we have two lists; one of things you should expect to bring to the CITO, and one of things GCCO will be providing.
Things you should bring
- Sunscreen
- Gloves
- Hat (we can't stress enough the importance of Sun Protection)
- Watch (or some sort of timekeeping device)
Things GCCO will provide
- Water
- Trash Bags
- One Gold Coin Prize!
- Limited Number of 'Trash Grabbers'
Timeline:
As always, the following timeline is just a rough outline of our plans, and is subject to change.
- 10:00-10:15: Meet at the posted coordinates for a quick safety briefing. We will then seperate into groups for: A)Litter Cleanup, B) Temporary Cache Removal, C) Special 'Friends of the Park' Project
- 10:15: Groups will be given details of their tasks and start their CITO missions
- 11:30: Return to the trailhead for general announcements.
- 11:45: Amazing Geocache Race Announcements
- 11:50: Gold coin drawing!
