Situated within a short walk of Fareham town shopping centre, this award winning Sensory Garden was opened in 1998 in memory of the late Princess Diana.
Based on the senses of touch, sound, vision, and smell, this green oasis is packed with rare, unusual and exotic plants from all over the world.
Once an area of grass with just a few mature trees, this small, quarter of an acre green space was transformed into a lively public garden for all to enjoy.
Welcome to the Garden of Reflection!
This cache is placed with kind permission from Fareham Borough Council. Being a sensory garden it is important to respect the flora and fauna; with this in mind the cache can be reached from a main paved pathway and you will NOT need to rummage amongst any of the plantings. The gardens are accessible to all between dawn and dusk but no dogs are permitted (except guide dogs).
This 3 stage multi-cache should take no longer than 20 minutes but you are very welcome to take as much time as you need to enjoy the tranquil space so close to the hustle and bustle of the town. It has been deliberately set with D1/T1 rating to be a good beginner cache and very child friendly. The flat paved pathways make it wheelchair and pushchair friendly.
