THE METRO GATHERING IS NOW A MEGA EVENT
Warinanco Park is the perfect location for a large gathering. Convenient to all 5 Boroughs of NYC, as well as to Pa, New England, and Delaware. Close enough for a day trip. Come meet cachers from all over the northeast, for what we expect (hope) to be Mega Fun. Bring your coins to swap. Bring your GPS to sample some of the local caching action. Close to the Watchung Mountains with miles of trails to hike. A quick drive to Manhattan and famous Central Park. Never been to the Statue of Liberty? You can almost see it from Warinanco Park.
(Interesting history note, Warinanco Park was designed by the Olmstead Brothers, who also designed.....Central Park)

Be part of history! We plan on setting the world record for the most signatures on a geocache (traditional) log in one day. As of right now there is no record we know of, so we will claim it until someone beats it.
Interested in other local attractions? The county run onsite, indoor ice skating facility will be open. (nominal fees apply, not included as part of the event)

There are many hotels and motels nearby. Public transportation is available as well. Campgrounds? Well, not really too close, (40 miles).
