The international thief and all-around villain, Hector the Hyena, has been very active lately. He recently stole large collections of rare coins, cash, and jewels. Intercepted radio communications indicate that The Hyena himself is hiding in Government Canyon State Natural Area.
As a Junior Geo-Agent, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to locate and capture The Hyena. To do this, you will need to complete the following three Geo-Agents missions. |

Our sources tell us that The Hyena has left a portion of the coordinates of his hiding place inside the three containers for his henchmen to find. Fortunately, we can decrypt his encoding method and use it to find the criminal. You will just need to collect the numbers from the containers. Try looking under the lid of the three containers.
We believe you will find six numbers in the containers, two in each one. They will be labeled A, B, C, and X, Y, Z. The coordinates for The Hyena's hideout are N29 32.ABC, W098 45.XYZ.
If you complete this important task and find The Hyena, you will have earned your Junior Geo-Agent identification card. Congratulations in advance!

This is a puzzle cache designed especially for kids. If you complete the three related multi-caches, your Junior Geo-Agent will be ready to complete the task and finish this puzzle. They will find two final prizes in this cache; please take only one of each per child. No need to trade, but just take what you need and no more. If supplies are getting low, please contact us.
Please stay on marked trails. The final is 30 feet of the trail. If you decide to do all three Geo-Agent multi-caches, we suggest starting with Funny Money and proceeding clockwise around the northern tip of the Savannah Loop. Total walking distance for all four caches (including the puzzle) is about 1.5 miles. We realize this may be difficult for younger kids, but the lure of prizes may keep them going.
This cache is in Government Canyon State Natural Area and was placed with the written permission of park management. Please check the park website for entrance fees and operating hours (currently, Friday-Monday 7 am to 10 pm). Entrance fees are $6 per day per person 13 years and older unless you have a state park pass.
As a State Natural Area, the park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including some that are dangerous to us as geocachers (such as bees, black widows, tarantulas, scorpions, and of course, rattlesnakes). Watch where you step, and look where you are reaching. Be prepared, be aware of your surroundings, and always bring plenty of water.
