The starting coordinates for this cache are for the parking coordinates and trail-head. Do not start walking down the old abandoned road or you will be heading the wrong way!
In order to find this cache, you will first need to stop by 3 locations on the trail and gather some information to calculate the coordinates for the final cache. There are a couple of side-trails in this area, so try to keep to the main trail which is the one with the Orange Blazes. If you have trouble locating a stage, please refer to the waypoints listed.

As soon as you start your way down the trail, start looking for 3 red(ish) dots on a tree. Go to this tree, stand in front of the dots and turn around. Use your light to locate other single red dots on the surrounding trees. Write down your answer.

Keep walking down the trail looking for a single white reflector in the trees. Count how many main trunks are coming out of the ground on these two trees.

Further down the trail, start looking for 4 red(ish) dots on a tree. Do the same as you did for stage 1 and count the single red dots on the surrounding trees.

Checksum: Add A+B+C. You should have a 2-digit number. Add the individual digits together until you have a single digit. This number should be 7.
