Geocache Description:

The co-ords above will take you [near] to 'Tim & Jon's 1st Re-Stashed', [once] a small beaker shaped container, with a blue lid. Here you will find a set of instructions on a laminated card, which should lead you to this hide. [An additional map in the logbook will help too.]

The UK's Oldest Unknown/Mystery/Puzzle cache!

You will need a bearing compass to find number 2. (Many GPS unit's have one inbuilt, so take a look through it's handbook! before splashing out & wasting money!)

This cache is something of a geocaching mystery. Hidden on the 25th August '01, an information card placed in 'Tim & Jon's 1'st Stash' directed the visitor to the second location, (This cache). 11 people visited the original trying to locate the 'blue sweet jar' but all failed in their attempts (This included experienced cachers like The Hornet & Tim & June). Unfortunatly the first cache went missing & therefore the instructions were lost and both were archived.

However... I recently replanted the first part, and thought it only appropriate that this one was brought back from the dead too. Luckily one of the 11 failed visitors, (Team Nia), wrote the basic instructions from the card, in their log dated 16th March '02. These have now been used to rehide the stash, in what I believe to be the original location, give or take a few feet or maybe more!?! It [was] a medium sized white tub with a green lid. Please remember that all I used when hiding was the original instructions, they have not changed and so any obscurities have been endured by all, including me! There are no tricks, so just go where your told, pretty much!

Good luck finding this one, perhaps someone might stumble over the blue sweet jar whilst poking around, if anyone does, PLEASE let us know! Dan...

Remember, you need to find GC177 in order to locate this cache. Also look at its D/T rating and Find-to-DNF ratio. It's not an easy cache to locate.

Advice: Don't rely on photos from 2016's Geolympix Mega. The cache was relocated during the event and thus the pictures are misleading.
