Das Bismarck-Denkmal steht seitlich vom Kaiser-Wilhelm-Denkmal auf dem Martin-Luther-Platz zwischen der Johanneskirche und dem Justizministerium. Es wurde 1899 von den Bildhauern Johann Röttger und August Bauer erschaffen und stand ursprünglich in der Heinrich-Heine-Allee.

Hauptelement des Denkmals ist die lebensgroße Bronzeplastik Bismarcks im Mantel mit Pickelhaube und Reitstiefeln. Die Statue steht auf einem etwa 2,50 Meter hohen Granitsockel, der von zwei weiteren sitzenden Figuren flankiert wird: einem alten Krieger, der die Einigung der deutschen Stämme symbolisiert, und einer Frau, die die Industrialisierung symbolisiert.

Otto von Bismarck (1815-1898) war Ministerpräsident des Königreichs Preußen und später der erste Reichskanzler des Deutschen Reiches. Er hat maßgeblich an der Gründung des Deutschen Reiches mitgewirkt.
The Bismarck monument is located on the side of the Emperor-Wilhelm monument on the Martin-Luther-Platz between the church Johanneskirche and the Ministry of Justice. It was created in 1899 by the sculptors Johann Röttger and August Bauer and was originally located in the Heinrich-Heine-Allee.

The main feature of the memorial is the life-size bronze sculpture of Bismarck in a coat with piked helmet and riding boots. The statue stands on a granite base of about 2.50 meters height, flanked by two more seated figures: an old warrior symbolizing the unification of the German tribes, and a woman symbolizing the industrialization.

Otto von Bismarck (1815-1898) was Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Prussia and later the first chancellor of the German Reich. He played a decisive role in the founding of the German Reich.
