Der Freizeitpark Rheinaue ist mit ca. 160 ha Fläche der größte Park Bonns. Er liegt im Bonner Süden direkt am Rhein - größtenteils linksrheinisch, umfasst aber auch einen kleinen rechtsrheinischen Teil. Er wurde für die Bundesgartenschau 1979 angelegt und umfasst eine ausgedehnte Seenlanschaft. U.a. folgende Attraktionen und Freizeitangebote sind heute Bestandteil der Rheinaue:

Daneben dient die Rheinaue als Veranstaltungsort für zahlreiche Events. Zu den regelmäßig stattfindenden Veranstaltungen zählen:

• Flohmarkt
• "Rhein in Flammen" (Jahrmarkt / Festival mit Feuerwerk)
• "Bonner Bierbörse"
• Ballonfestival
• "Rockaue" (Rockfestival; früher "Rheinkultur")
• Konzerte im Rahmen des "Kunstrasens"
• "Firmenlauf Bonn" (Sportveranstaltung für Firmenangestellte)

Im Winter werden die zahlreichen Hügel der Rheinaue häufig zum Schlittenfahren und für andere Wintersportarten genutzt.

"Freizeitpark Rheinaue" is the largest park in Bonn and has a size of about 160 hectares. It is located in the south of Bonn directly at river Rhine - mostly on the westside of the Rhine, but a small part is on the eastside, too. It was built for the "Bundesgartenschau", an annual German garden-presentation-show, in 1979 and includes lots of lakes. Among others, the following attractions and leisure time facilities are part of the Rheinaue:

In winter, the numerous hills of the park are often used for tobogganing and other winter sports activities.
