Der Wappenpfahl stammt von Chief Tony Hunt, Kwagiulth-Indianer aus Fort Rupert, B.C., Kanada. Er wurde der Stadt Bonn zur Bundesgartenschau 1979 von der Kanadischen Regierung geschenkt und steht seitdem in der Bonner Rheinaue. Anläßlich der 2000-Jahr-Feier der Stadt Bonn im Jahre 1989 wurde er von Chief Tony Hunt renoviert.

Der Totempfahl zeigt mehrere Wappentiere und Figuren aus der Familie des Künstlers. Von oben nach unten:
  • Der Rabe, Wappentier der Familie Hunt
  • "Sisutl", die doppelköpfige Schlange, und "Willkommensfigur" mit ausgestreckten Händen
  • Häuptling mit schildförmigem "Kupfer"
The totem pole was made by Chief Tony Hunt, Kwagiulth-Indian from Fort Rupert, B.C., Canada. It was donated to the City of Bonn for the "Bundesgartenschau", an annual German garden-presentation-show, in 1979 by the Canadian government. It resides in the Rheinaue in Bonn since then. In 1989, on the occasion of the 2000-year-celebration of the city of Bonn, it was refurbished by Chief Tony Hunt.

The pole shows several emblems and figures from the family of the artist. From top to bottom:
  • The crow, heraldic animal of the family Hunt
  • "Sisutl", the two-headed snake, and "Welcome figure" with stretched out arms
  • Chief with shield
