In diesem Haus in der Bonngasse 20 wurde wahrscheinlich am 16. Dezember 1770 Ludwig van Beethoven geboren. Abgesehen von mehrmonatigen Studienreisen verbrachte Beethoven seine gesamte Kindheit und Jugend hier, bis er im Alter von 21 Jahren nach Wien aufbrach.
Heute befindet sich in dem Gebäude das Museum "Beethovenhaus", in dem u.a. die damalige Wohnsituation gezeigt wird.

Ludwig van Beethoven was born in this house at the Bonngasse 20 presumably on December the 16th in 1770. Besides study journeys he spent all his childhood and youth here until the age of 21, when he settled in Vienna.
Today, there's the musuem "Beethovenhaus" in this building, showing the living conditions back then as well as other Beethoven-related documents.
