A beautiful recreated forest bog in Ravnsholt forest. An old, lone oak towers in the middle.

Most danish forest once were well-drained. In the 90'es it was decided to stop the draining and leave fallen trees to rot. The result is what you see around this cache. A forest bog in the establishment - in this case with a nice old oak left in the middle.
Waterproof stout walking shoes are recommended - wellies may be an advantage. In winter, if the bog is ice-covered be very, very, very carefull. No kids without adult supervision!
