[DE] Der Georgsbrunnen ist heute auf dem Neumarkt zu finden, in der Mitte von Limburg. Der Brunnen besteht aus einer Sandsteinschale sowie der bronzenen Figur des heiligen Georg im Kampf mit einem Drachen.
Der Brunnen ist ein Geschenk des Limburgers Josef Heppel, welcher im 19. Jahrhundet die Limburger Blechwarenfabrik gründete.
[EN] The "Georgsbrunnen" (translates to "the fountain of George") is located on the Neumarkt in Limburg, a square in the centre of the city. The fountain is made of a sand stone bowl and a bronze sculpture on top. The sculpture shows Saint Georg fighting a dragon.
The fountain was donated by Josef Heppel who founded the company "Limburger Blechwarenfabrik" in the 19th century.
