The Ling-Temco-Vought A-7 Corsair II is a carrier-based subsonic attack aircraft introduced to replace the U.S. Navy's Douglas A-4 Skyhawk, entering service during the Vietnam War. It was later adopted by the U.S. Air Force."
(Excerpt from the Homelake Veterans' History Museum walking tour brochure)

The Colorado State Veterans Center (originally Soldiers' and Sailors' Home) was founded in 1889 to care for aging veterans of the Civil War. The campus honors veterans from every major war in U.S. history and is home to the Homelake Veterans' History Museum.
