Das Centro Oberhausen ist mit über 250 Geschäften eins der größten Einkaufszentren Deutschlands. Es wurde am Rand der Stadt auf einem ehemaligen Industriegelände errichtet und 1996 eröffnet. Heute bildet es das Herz der sogenannten Neuen Mitte Oberhausens.

Die Geschäfte decken die Bereiche Mode, Unterhaltungstechnik, Spielwaren, Haushalt und vieles mehr ab. Im Aussenbereich des Einkaufszentrums, der sogenannten Promenade, gibt es vielfältige gastronomische Angebote wie Restaurants, Bars und Cafes.

Zur Neuen Mitte gehören neben dem Einkaufszentrum zahlreiche Freizeiteinrichtungen:
  • Cinestar (Kino)
  • König-Pilsener-Arena (Konzert- und Veranstaltungshalle)
  • Gasometer (Aussichtsturm & Veranstaltungsort)
  • Legoland Discovery Center (Indoor Spielplatz)
  • Sealife (Aquarium)

The Centro Oberhausen is one of the largest indoor shopping malls in Germany with over 250 shops. It was built on the edge of the city on a former industrial site and opened in 1996. Today it is the heart of the so-called New Center of Oberhausen.

The shops cover the areas of fashion, entertainment, toys, household and much more. In the outer area of the shopping center, the so-called Promenade, there are many gastronomic offers such as restaurants, bars and cafes.

In addition to the shopping mall, numerous recreational facilities are part of the New Center:
