Ich kann mich noch erinnern wie Du kaum abwarten konntest bis die Coin endlich im Briefkasten lag. Hat ja auch lang genug gedauert bis Du dieses gute Stück endlich ergattert und dann endlich zu Hause hattest. Auf Deinem Makers Magic Event konnte ich in einem ruhigen Moment endlich auch einen Blick drauf werfen ... ist schon was ganze Besonderes Deine Sammlung. Danke fürs Zeigen dieser Coin.

Seit mehreren Jahren teilen mel-whv und ich die gleiche Leidenschaft für Geocoins. So habe ich über Jahre miterlebt, mit welcher Mühe und Intensität André die Moun10Bike-Serie durch viele Tauschaktionen Stück für Stück nach Wilhelmshaven gebracht hat. Als mel-whv zum "500...501...502 Jahre Rüstersiel - CCEvent" einlud, war es für uns klar, dass wir die mehr als 550 Kilometer fahren, um am Event teilzunehmen. Wir konnten eine recht abwechslungsreiche Veranstaltung erleben, trafen einige bekannte Cacherfreunde und Geocoin-Tauschpartner. Besonders beeindruckend war, dass André die Moun10Bike-Münzen aus seiner Sammlung mitgebracht hatte. Ich genoss die Minuten, in denen ich alle Geocoins nacheinander in den Händen halten und genau betrachten konnte. Es wird ein besonderer Moment in meiner Erinnerung bleiben. Dafür danke ich einmal Moun10Bike selbst, der mit seinen Geocoins den Grundstein für unsere Leidenschaft gelegt hat und André für die Möglichkeit des Entdeckens. Herzliche Grüße an beide von Compubaer For several years mel-whv and I share the same passion for Geocoins. So I experienced over years, with which effort and intensity André brought the Moun10Bike series by many exchange actions piece by piece to Wilhelmshaven. When mel-whv invited to the "500...501...502 years Rüstersiel - CCEvent", it was clear for us that we drive the more than 550 kilometers to participate in the event. We could experience a quite varied event, met some known cacher friends and geocoint exchange partners. Most impressive was that André had brought the Moun10Bike coins of his collection for me to discover. I enjoyed the minutes to be able to hold all Geocoins one after the other in my hands and look at them closely. It will remain a special moment in my memory. For this I thank once Moun10Bike himself, who laid the basis for our passion with his Geocoins and André for the possibility of discovering. Best regards to both from Compubaer

Bei einem kleinen Besuch bei Mel-whv konnte ich ein paar Highlights seiner Sammlung bewundern und ein kleiner Besuch reicht nicht aus um alles gebührend zu bestaunen. Schon allein diese besondere Abteilung der Sammlung und die fesselnden Geschichten und Funktionen sind ein Tee und ein Stück Apfelkuchen wert. Bin gespannt, wann sich der nächste Entdeckungsbesuch ergibt. Für heute freue ich mich diese tollen Coins entdeckt zu haben.

Was für ein Tag, da darf ich gleich zwei von diesen besonderen Moun10Bike Geocoins in den Händen 👐 halten und discovern. So einen Moment werde ich wohl nicht noch einmal erleben, oder oder ??? Bei dir und deiner Leidenschaft ist ja mit allem zu rechnen. Ich habe ja das gesamte letzte Jahr miterleben dürfen wie du dieser Coin entgegen geliefert hast. Das Wörtchen GEDULD spielte eine zentrale Rolle. Immer und immer wieder verzögerte sich die Übergabe- erst irgendwo im Haus, mal suchen, erinnere mich, warten, wieder melden, dann doch gefunden, es dauerte Tage bis die verschickt wurde, der Zoll , Verzögerung, verspätete Zustellung, erst heute, dann doch morgen- und jetzt endlich in deinen Händen. Was wurde sie von dir bearbeitet, denn diese Coin war echt mit Spuren gezeichnet, aber jetzt erstrahlt sie mit neuen Glanz deine Vitrine. Ich gönne sie dir von Herzen. Erfreue dich täglich daran. An incredible day today – today is the day I‘m getting the holy grail of Geocoins for my collection! A once-in-a-lifetime chance to own this legendary piece of Geocaching-History became true now! This coin started its journey 20 (!!) years back in time! January 6, 2002 Jon Stanley aka Moun10Bike placed this Geocoin in a Geocache in Bellingham / Washington, GC2D3A, where it was retrieved by the cacheowner three days later. It was placed and retrieved in / from several Washington Caches until Moun10Bike himself retrieved it again and took it to his second homestate – Idaho – in March 2002. At that c5 time not many people were involved into the game and less knew about tracking Geocoins so it was owner himself to let it travel somewhat further and away from its‘ original starting location to make some miles. In May 2002 this coin returned to Washington by another Geocacher and stepped to Oregon in June 2002 until it found the last stop in California in July 2002 where it was finally found by a Geocacher who kept it at his home….until now! Now this legend has traveled the ocean and went directly into my showcase – well, not directly….. the condition of the coin was really….and I mean REALLY poor so some work had to be done to refresh it – now it’s in a perfect shape for a 21 year old trackable Geocoin – and it will be moved to my collection! Thanks to Moun10Bike to start that and so many thanks to atorrigi for searching nearly one year for it within i1 your home and for sending it to me around Christmas time 2021!! Arrival today, Jan 14, 2022!!! What a day to be marked on my calendar!

Picking up stories... It took us two days to reach this cache! The first day ended with a 5+ hour extraction of our vehicle from a location just south of the parking area. We became stuck, had to walk out to highway and seek the assistance of a 4x4. Undaunted we returned the next day with reinforcements. Five adults and two dogs! Our goal was to finally get to view the notable geocoin. Roll from place to place... The next leg will be nearly 14 times the distance of all the previous legs. For now let's just say that the traveller will cross the international date line on or about August 8, 2002.
