A geocoin portuguesa de 2017 representa D. Afonso Henriques, o primeiro rei de Portugal, numa exploração de uma perspetiva menos habitual da estátua mais conhecida do rei, para criar uma sensação de intimismo.

Na frente da geocoin, pode ver-se o busto do rei em 3D com o texto em relevo também. O verso da geocoin representa o brasão deste rei e tem aplicação de branco e azul para o mesmo, sendo o texto afundado na base.

The 2017 Portuguese geocoin represents D. Afonso Henriques, the first king of Portugal, in an exploration of a less usual perspective of the king's best-known statue, to create a sense of intimacy.

In the front part of the geocoin, you can see the king's bust in 3D with the raised text as well. The verse of the geocoin represents the coat of arms of this king and has application of white and blue for it, being the text sunk in the base.
