The Brummie Meets now has a unique Limited Edition Trackable TAG - a small number will be issued at Each 2017 Event. 20 lucky attendees have received one at the March 2017 & June 2017 Events and the reactions to wanting one & receiving one has been well worth the effort in creating them. There will be another batch available for this event. A draw from will attend logs (from cachers who have attended at least one previous Brummie Meet) recorded by 31.8.17 (but excluding those who already have a TAG) will decide the recipients.

This is a quick initial log of my impromptuish trip to Birmingham. A Cuthies event in Birmingham has always been on my list to do since they started but my health and working schedule often kneecaps my ability to attend. This was nearly the case today as I had had a 9 am start and was asleep through the afternoon until about twenty-five minutes before I was planning to catch the train. I nearly gave up on the idea but then thought that it was unlikely I would make another one this year due to my starting a course in a few weeks time that will be on Monday nights...so I went for it.
I'm so glad I did. This is such a great part of caching, meeting up with good friends and making new ones. I had a great time and consider myself a very lucky recipient of a coveted prize - thanks, guys.
I was also able to pick the brains of Patch and Hedgehog for the info about a cache that I'd promptly managed to forget since I'd seen them at the beginning of the month and I'm glad and relieved to report I made the find....woooohooooo!
I will eventually get round to logging The etc, But I picked up a few and dropped off a fine pair with Linda who I know will do it justice. I look forward to seeing Iain's accompanying photos :-)
Now for the train home with coffee to keep me awake and a chocolate muffin :-D
