This coin features red, green, and blue glass melted onto the nickel finish metal. This type of finish is extremely durable and can maintain its beauty for many hundreds of years.
The idea behind this coin is that those people who are wise to the ways of time will know that sometimes we need to rush to the next event, but at other times we must wait and let things come to us. Those who know when to rush and when to be patient will use the time allotted to them most fully.
The front shows an hour glass in front of a galaxy. This pinwheel of stars rotates once every fifty million years making it a clock for very long periods of time. There are four words with four letters each, making a four to the second power pattern. The Time Lords, after all, do love math.
The Quark Epoch was a time in the early universe when all of space was filled with a quark-gluon plasma. To our current reckoning of time, the Quark Epock was very brief, but the passage of time was different then and to those beings that lived during the Quark Epoch, it lasted as long as our current universe. This epoch saw great empires, love, hope, and pain just like ours, but then the universe underwent a complete phase change and the quark-gluon plasma could not be maintained. The phase change, meant the complete destruction of that universe, but it ultimately led to our current universe.
