A few years ago my friend decided to settle up here in Betws-y-Coed, which turned out to be very useful of her as it provided me with the perfect place to stay in the run up to the Llangollen Mega! I drove up Wednesday and eased her back into caching with eight caches. Thursday was the day we attempted and succeeded in finding 24 in 24 (I told her of the possibility of getting a geocoin for it and she got all excited and insisted on giving it a go). Friday was the day I needed to suss out what I would need to do on the day of the Mega itself. And today was the day of the Mega. Extra special as I was to attempt 10 different cache icons in one day, heading home to Worcester at the same time. Having found 5 of the 10 already I headed to the site of the mega and was able to get a decent parking space, it being before the 10am opening. I headed straight to the maze as I'd heard some horror stories about queues - there was a little one but it wasn't so bad. It was very interesting and fun and I really enjoyed it...sixth down, onto the next. I didn't realise it at the time, but this was my 700th cache!!
This next bit is copied and pasted, if you’ve already read one of my logs today, don’t worry about reading on.
Please excuse the late log (13/08/2016) Life has got in the way, and although I have been geocaching regularly, I’ve not had the time or inclination to log online. I have now got a bit of spare time, plus I need to get a handle on it before it just gets too ridiculous! I have a total of 96 caches to log dating from 29/6-13/8…I had better get on with it!! Thank you for your cache, if it wasn’t for the diligence and commitment of COs, we’d have nothing to find :)
