This is the Draco Brittanicus version in Antique Gold

Origin story

The story of the Cache Keeper Geocoin started already in November 2014. In about 2 ½ weeks period it was drawn part by part to have a christmas present for family and friends. Actually to make a token. The token was made by Mario from LaserLogoShop with a limitation of 25 pieces with upcounting serial number. Like a real coin, all had their own tracking code.
Back then I thought already that this token would make a nice coin. But I put it aside for a long time, because I never thought that it would be possible. In 2015 I lived in a constructions site due to the overhaul of our apartment. During the renovation I had the idea to use my dragon sketch again. This time I started to paint it on my wall. With a copy of my design I made different color patterns and posted it on Facebook. Before I knew it I had several requests when the dragon will be minted as a geocoin. But how? Thus I sended a request to Martina Cache-Corner if she would like to make a dragon coin. Before I knew it, the first steps were done. I checked the artwork of the coin, did some changes and finally I hold the first samples in my hand.

About the coin

The basic front concept of the coin is a dragon who shares its heart with caching. Thus it's doomed to protect this cache. At a closer look a logfile can be seen in the treasure cache.
Cachers love all caches around, the small treasures, the small containers with logfiles. They like them in a good conditions, well hidden so they will be safe. Things people love they will protect... especially if they do it by heart.
Since I have been a teenager I love and like dragons. Especially after I had seen the film Dragonheart. That's is the reason for the chosen backside. Although 'The Old Code' an oath is which knights had to swore, I placed it on the coin. It was also the oath claimed by the dragon "Draco" before he cut his heart in two to protect the live of a young king. Unfortunetaly Draco was betrayed by the young king. Nevertheless Draco still became a part of the forebears in the stellar constellation Draco who owned their place through their good deeds.
These stars can be found easily close to the Big Dipper and you may think...my cache is guarded by the Cache Keeper.
