The goal of this geocoin is to go to as many events as possible, always in the company of my owners, to be shared with all geocachers that are over there.

Os Açores
As nove ilhas do Arquipélago dos Açores são todas de origem vulcânica e encontram-se em pleno Atlântico Norte, dispersas ao longo de uma faixa com cerca de 600 km de extensão de Santa Maria ao Corvo e sensivelmente entre 37° e 40° de latitude norte e 25° e 31° de longitude oeste. Residem 246 772 pessoas (dados de 2011) neste território insular de 2 325 km2, que está a uma distância de 1.600 km do continente europeu e 2.454 km do continente norte-americano (Canadá).
As ilhas do arquipélago foram divididas em três grupos geográficos: o Grupo Oriental, composto por Santa Maria e São Miguel, o Grupo Central integra as ilhas Terceira, Graciosa, São Jorge, Pico e Faial, e o Grupo Ocidental constituído pelas ilhas Corvo e Flores. Os Açores, juntamente com os arquipélagos da Madeira, Canárias e Cabo Verde definem a região biogeográfica da Macaronésia, designação que significa “ilhas afortunadas”, para quem as habita e quem as visita.
A GeoTour
O objetivo principal da GeoTour AZORES é que cada geocacher participante consiga conhecer o maior número de ilhas, que lhe for possível, ficando assim a conhecer um pouco melhor este arquipélago “rodeado de natureza por todos os lados”.
Esta geotour é composta por 150 geocaches e 21 geocaches joker. As geocaches joker são opcionais e substituem qualquer uma da ilha a que pertencem que, por alguma razão, não seja possível encontrar. Tem o prazo de vigência de 1 (um) ano a partir da data do seu lançamento, renovável, ou não, por períodos idênticos.

The Azores
The nine islands of the Azores Archipelago are all of volcanic origin and are in the Atlantic North, scattered over a range of about 600 km extension from Santa Maria to Corvo and roughly between 37° and 40° north latitude and 25° and 31° west longitude. 246,772 people (2011 data) reside in this island territory of 2 325 km2, which is at a distance of 1.600 km from the European continent and 2.454 km from the North American continent (Canada).
The archipelago islands were divided into three geographical groups: the Eastern Group, composed by Santa Maria and São Miguel, the Central Group that includes the islands of Terceira, Graciosa, São Jorge, Pico and Faial, and the Western Group that comprises the islands of Corvo and Flores. The Azores, along with the archipelagos of Madeira, the Canaries and Cape Verde, define the biogeographic region of Macaronesia, a name which means "fortunate islands", for those who live there and those who visit them.
The GeoTour
The main objective of GeoTour AZORES is that each participant geocacher can know the largest number of islands, that he can, so that he can know a little better this archipelago "surrounded by nature everywhere."
This geotour consists in 150 geocaches and 21 joker geocaches. The joker geocaches are optional and replace any one of the island caches to which they belong and that, for some reason, can not be found. It is valid for one (1) year from the date of its release, renewable, or not, for identical periods of time.
