To celebrate having cached on all 366 dates. I have been caching since 2014 and this year was a leap year so it made sense for me to fill in the blanks while on a 365 day streak (which I've not actually achieved yet as logs from previous years mean I complete this first!)
I have cached in England, Scotland and Wales (counting only as the UK) as well as Italy and Australia. I have made over 800 finds, I've hidden 46 caches including trads, multis, puzzles, letterbox hybrids and an earthcache.
On this day, I was very lucky to be able to celebrate my achievement by being first to find on ten caches, the majority of a series published by friends of mine, mljwaffle007 and CTJones05c (no clues given!!). They were published Friday evening when I was in the pub with a 90% muggle so I had no chance of going out to get them - I was gutted!! However, the following morning at 8am, when the muggle was still abed, I went out on the hunt.
I was lucky that no one had found them yet, or at least no one had made any online logs. I set out for #1 on the list and was able to make a quick find and it was a lovely clean white log. I was fairly sure I could assume I was the first on the trail.
From there, I went on to find 6 more, but had to give up. Later in the day, along with DebandtheGeokids, I was able to find the last 3 unfound, making a total of 10 FTFs - the most FTFs I have ever found in a day.
