…eine seltene Coin, die vom HQ an die Teilnehmer der UserInsights-Foren ausgegeben worden ist – zumeist als Geschenk. Auf den BlockParty Events 2015 und 2016 wurde sie ebenso verteilt wie auf einem Event in Rome / GA – und vielleicht auch noch auf anderen. Insgesamt gibt es 350 registrierte Codes dieser Coin, ob so viele jemals gemünzt wurden, weiß ich nicht. Ich habe sie jedenfalls lange genug gesucht und bin froh, sie nun meiner Sammlung hinzufügen zu können! Mit 58 x 45 mm Größe und ganzen 6 mm Stärke ist sie schon ein echt massives Stück!
Lackey Jayme Hewitt aka benandjayme hat diese Coin zusammen mit Roxxy entworfen. Es war ein besonderes Geschenk für diejenigen, die dem Hauptquartier ihre Zeit und wertvolle Einblicke in die Art und Weise gaben, wie sie das Spiel spielen. Sie war nicht verkäuflich.
Die Tagesseite zeigt "Experienta docet" an und das bedeutet "Erfahrung lehrt". Die Teilnehmer unterrichten das Hauptquartier auf alle Arten, wie sie das Spiel spielen. Es zeigt eine Sonne / einen Kompass, die nach Norden zeigt ... wahrer Norden, der die Wahrheit darstellt. Eichenblätter für Weisheit und einen gewundenen Weg in einen unerforschten Wald.
Die Nachtseite mit einem leuchtenden Mond / Astrolabium zeigt die Weisheit der Seefahrer, die die Sterne als Leitfaden für ihre Abenteuer verwenden, und die Liebe zu Rätseln, die einige Geocacher lieben. Die Lorbeerblätter wurden verwendet, um Weisheit zu symbolisieren. Der Ehrentitel, der dem Inhaber der Münze des „Geocaching Professor Emeritus“ verliehen wurde, war eine zutiefst dankbare Anspielung auf die Lektionen, die sie uns an diesem Tag erteilen mussten.

... a really rare coin that was given out by the HQ to the participants in the UserInsights forums - mostly as a gift. It was distributed at the BlockParty events in 2015 and 2016 as well as at an event in Rome / GA - and maybe also at others. There is a total of 350 registered codes for this coin, I don't know whether that many were ever minted. Anyway, I've been looking for this great piece long enough and I'm happy to be able to add them to my collection! Being 58 x 45 mm big and having a thickness of 6 mm it's a pretty heavy coin!

The day page shows "Experienta docet" and that means "experience teaches". Participants teach headquarters in all ways how to play the game. It shows a sun / compass pointing north ... true north which is the truth. Oak leaves for wisdom and a winding path into an unexplored forest.
The night side with a glowing moon / astrolabe shows the wisdom of seafarers who use the stars as guides for their adventures and a love of puzzles that some geocachers love. The laurel leaves were used to symbolize wisdom. The honorary title awarded to the holder of the coin of the Geocaching Professor Emeritus was a deeply grateful allusion to the lessons they had to teach us that day.
The coin was created on the occasion of the User Insights program ... to honor and listen to the community.
