The Lord's Prayer coins are 2 inches in diameter and have their own custom icon. This Geocoin was designed for my Sunday school class.
The symbols starting at the top and going clockwise are:
- Crown - God The Father
- Flame - Holy Spirit
- Omega - The End
- Fish - Jesus and also a fish from the loaves and fishes story
- Cross
- Loaf - Daily Bread and also a loaf from the loaves and fishes story
- Alpha - The Beginning
- Chi Rho - This is a very old symbol for Jesus
Behind the symbols and underneath the blue transparent enamel are Hebrew words. This is The Lord's Prayer written in Hebrew.
The twelfth chapter of Ecclesiastes talks about growing old and dying. There are several references, which have puzzled scholars: "Remember him—before the silver cord is severed, and the golden bowl is broken; before the pitcher is shattered at the spring, and the wheel broken at the well, and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it."
What is the silver chord? What is the golden bowl? Do they simply refer to costly objects or do they refer to something specific?
The golden bowl edition features a white dove surrounded by an unbroken bowl of 18 karat gold and an unsevered band of silver colored nickel.
