The Viking Dragon Shield Geocoin series is based upon the ancient Viking gods. The design on the front is based upon a replica of a Viking shield. The 3D detailing really stands out. The wood grain texture combined with metal edges and nails holding it all together are all quite impressive. On the back, a verse from the Hávamál, part of the Edda, which is a collection of Old Norse poems from the Viking age.
Asgard: World of the gods.
Helheim: Icy Viking underworld.
Valhalla: Viking paradise.
Sleipnir: Eight-legged flying horse of Odin.
Valkyries: A horde of 40 beautiful warrior women flying horses, who bring the fallen brave Viking warriors to Valhalla.
Yggdrasil: The giants tree at the junction of the universe. All life is derived from this tree.
Mjollnir: Thor's hammer with which he makes lightning.
The Viking Dragon Shield geocoins are limited edition and are being sold with permission from the original artist.
