The Vinland Edition features Bright Red on Satin Silver.
LE - 50 made.
Vinland is the name of the legendary place described in the Viking sagas that was said to have been founded by Leif Ericson on the North American continent.
The front of the coin is designed after a traditional wooden Viking shield. The wood grain came out perfectly, you can even see the nails.
The edge is made to look like pieces of metal placed like scales and nailed to the shield.
The runes around the edge on the back are for you to decipher, as you can also deduce from the text in the middle. That text is a verse from the Hávamál, part of the Edda, a collection of Old Norse poems from the Viking age. To complete the design there is a Viking/Celtic knot as background for the text.
This coin was designed by Dutch cacher Ogima.
