WWFM – World Wide Flash Mob XI.
Am 7. Juni 2014 hat der 11. WWFM stattgefunden.
Tausende von Geocachern versammeln sich jedes Jahr am selben Tag zur gleichen Zeit zu zahlreichen Events auf der ganzen Welt.

Wie auch schon im vergangenen Jahr habe ich ein Flashmob-Event mit mehr als 400 Besuchern veranstaltet:

Speziell zu diesem Anlass wurde der WWFM Flash Mob XI Event Geocoin designt. Gefüllt ist der Geocoin mit einer nachleuchtenden Farbe.

WWFM – World Wide Flash Mobs
Sonny und Sandy vom PodCacher-Podcast kam die Idee zum WWFM im Jahr 2007 nach dem Besuch eines Mega-Events. Es war als Spaß-Event als "Gegensatz" zu einem Mega-Event gedacht: all die coolen Aspekte eines Geocaching-Events, zusammengepackt in 15 Minuten.
Eine zusätzliche Dimension bekommt es durch die Buchstaben "WW": World Wide - dieses Event gibt's auf dem ganzen Planeten am selben Tag um die selbe Uhrzeit!
Diese Cacheevents sollen Geocacher in einer kreativen Art und Weise zusammenbringen und Neulinge in das Hobby Geocaching einführen.
Seit 2007 gibt es den weltweiten Geocaching-Flashmob, den WWFM.

On June 7th, 2014, the 11th WWFM took place all around the globe.

Like last year I hosted a Flashmob-Event with more than 400 visitors:

This year's coin is dedicated to worldwide geocaching in all forms. This colorful geocoin incorporates the sun’s rays so that you may shine your coin-bling brighter than the sun at your events. It sports eleven circular colors, as well as glow-in-the-dark lightning bolts and five Swarovski crystal gemstones.

WWFM – World Wide Flash Mobs
Sonny and Sandy of the PodCacher podcast came up with the WWFM idea in 2007 after attending a mega-event. It was meant to be a fun “opposite” of a mega-event: all the cool aspects of a geocaching event, crammed into 15 minutes of excitement. An added dimension is represented by the letters "WW" - World Wide - these events occur across the planet on the same day at (mostly) the same time! These caching events are intended to bring geocachers together in a creative way, as well as introduce others (newbies) to the hobby. Since 2007 there is a worldwide geocaching Flash Mob, called WWFM.
