Wolves are the largest member of the canine family and live in packs with up to 20 members. The alpha male and beta female are generally the only two in a pack that will mate, but the rest of the pack aids in the care of the young. Wolves can travel up to 125 miles in a day as they search for food. They tend to only live 6 to 8 years in the wild, but can live twice as long in captivity.
