Out for a day of socially distanced caching with Monski & Snufflepig
Greeted by the CO and Elf......and Spike!
Wasn't keen but had to keep up with Monski....was just about ok until Spike decided to move across my hands & head up towards my coat sleeves.....yikes! So glad the CO retrieved him.
Have to admit I prefer Elf!!!

  • Not Sure about This.... ....Can I play with Elf instead??

Out with Snufflepig and Perrycroft1, we were just signing the logbook for take a seat when the CO popped out to say hello.

I couldn't resist a challenge and was glad to see Sting, I'm not keen on frogs or toads, but Sting was very cute. She very clamly walked along my hands and didn't go after any digits. Thank you for such a unique experience.

After my coffee morning in Bristol, i headed over the bridge with a couple of other cachers to do the local series. The last thing i thought i would be doing would be holding Sting. I was really quite proud of myself for doing it as it's not normally my thing at all. Was fascinating to see Sting under UV light, such a beautiful colour. Thank you for the opportunity to do this.

Well, certainly not the first thing I thought I would be doing when I woke this morning... After GloveGirl's caching event, I came back over the bridge with GG and HindAndSeek, next thing I knew they had brought me along to the garden of this very friendly CO. And before very long, I had the pleasure of meeting Sting, thankfully a very docile 'little' fellow. Wouldn't like to get on the wrong side of him ;-)

Thank you for the experience.

Out caching with Glove Girl SM81 and WestCountrySy. We discovered String whilst doing the CO's cache in his front garden. (Take a seat #1) The CO came out and chatted to us with his two dogs fora while.

He then said do we fancy doing a challenge TB. We said yes and the next thing we were taking it in turns to hold Sting the Scorpion! He even glowed under my UV torch. String not the CO! 🙂

What a great idea for a TB, thanks again to Alistair 🙂

Will keep an eye on Stings adventures.

scorpions are something i have come across before, in my military roles, back in the days gone by out in Belize (central America) and in the Kuwait and Iraq.
Sting is a very tame fella, unlike the nasties i have come across in the wild
thank you for sharing at the scything cito

Met Sting at Take a Seat #1 today. Can't say I was expecting to have a scorpion on my hand today. Thanks 'The Flying Boots'. :)
