About This Item

Upgrades

  • Our most recent upgrade, which will be our 3rd handheld GPS, a substatue for swapping it from car to car !
  • upgraded from 62s, to a 62sc, this one is now a touch screen which has a 8mp camera, and 1080p video !
  • Why update with a discontinued unit, just click on the details above, it has wi-fi, which means no more plugging in.
  • Using our iPod3, then 6, then iPhones, it was the next evolution in wireless technology for us, which will work offgrid!

Sold our 1st hand held GPS to :    (in grey or black) 5MP camera
Replacing it with the one we used, but replace today. Seeing as it became a frankenstein of what it once was.

To be discovered , whenever this handheld device is used by others.

When we cracked the screen we got one even worse, I give up !

Nothing but handhelds for us now, but I have to say we love using our iPhones.

Picked up my new "Monterra®" GPS from Kijiji.

  • Replacing my Frankenstein Purchased a 64s shell for a 62sc , that’s all that was available at the time to fix the power button and worn descriptions on older face.
  • Power button Swapped covers but had to keep the backing.
  • Soft rubber backing peeled away.
  • Depends solely on mini usb plug for data transfer Which wears out the electrical connection and the ipx7 seal that keeps the connections dry from the weather.
  • Backings slightly different New fits on old, old fits on old, old does not fit well on new. Old seals are worn. Hopefully new seals keep batteries from getting any moisture. Water proof rating is compromised. But strap still clips into both battery back caps.
  • Swapped battery covers
  • Willing to risk swapping covers at this stage Over 5 years old , using a 64s case on a 62sc , there were camera backing issues and I do not believe that the 64sc shell casing was available at the time of repairs. I believe that theses two versions were the only two that are compatible as the 60 and the 66 are quite different from these two series.
