The 2011 Alaska Geocoin is manufactured from a 2" x 1.5" x 0.25" (5.1 cm x 3.8 cm x 0.6 cm) piece of the Alaska state gem, jade, extracted from Alaska's Kobuk River Valley. The limited (LE) and extra limited (XLE) editions feature the Alaska state metal, gold.
These are Alaska's 2011 geocoins. Skyrocketing precious metals prices and die-making expense coupled with declining sales volumes led to the decision to try something new. We know the made in Alaska proof quality precious metal geocoins had their devote followers, but we just couldn't make the numbers pencil out this year.
Three different versions were minted of the 2011 Alaska Geocoin:
- 2011 Alaska Geocoin (Green Jade), RE 130
- 2011 Alaska Geocoin (Green Jade), LE 50
- 2011 Alaska Geocoin (Green Jade), XLE 20

The Alaska 2011 Geocoin is a coin which was gifted to me by Geo-Dragonchild 
The coin has been transferred to my personal collection and can only be discovered. 
The aim of this geocoin is to please everyone who looks at this beautiful geocoin and discovers it

heute, mehr als ein halbes Jahr nach eure Hochzeit möchte ich die Gelegenheit nutzen, um dieses Hochzeitsgeschenk von euch zu discovern. Einen First to Discover, obwohl die Coin bereits so lange in euerm Besitz ist, hätte ich an dieser Stelle nicht erwartet 😮
