I have been wearing this bug around my neck, and I must warn of its dangers. I wore it on a recent trip to Geneva, with every intention of passing it on, but I found its presence comforting. I tried only half-heartedly to pass it to two other travelers, but found no willing takers. I continue to wear it here in Montreal, and will take it with me in a couple of weeks to Moscow and St. Petersburg. There is this danger of growing further attached, which defeats the whole purpose. So, I am here registering my full intention of leaving it there in Russia.
One thing further... while this bug is not my idea of attractive upscale jewelery to be wearing, there is no accounting for the emotional response which arises, just so, in the presence of the thing.
