The Dawning Hope Geocoins were created to remind people that no matter far away hope may seem, it is always with us.
At the dawn of time, when the world was new, fifty relics were crafted to combat the forces of darkness. It was said that the black army was unstoppable and that they would succeed in destroying all that is good, for they has a truly terrible weapon known as despair. Who could expect to prevail when hope had been forgotten? However, there were a few who remembered that the light is never truly extinguished and that hope is always with us even though it is known to wax and wane like the moon, the seasons, and the daylight. Yes, fires were kindled in mighty furnaces and molten bronze of the finest quality was cast and shaped into gleaming plates. The bronze was further shaped and formed using unimaginable forces to engrave a message of hope that would be able to defeat the forces of darkness and despair. The relics were finally finished with two metals chosen for their ability to resist the ravages of time: gold taken from deep in the earth and glistening nickel. All of this took place in a distant time that has nearly become myth and legend. Some people called that time "the first age" to others it was simply known as "2010"
