O objetivo desta geocoin é ir ao máximo de eventos possível, sempre na companhia dos meus donos, para ser partilhada com todos os geocachers que lá estejam.

The goal of this geocoin is to go to as many events as possible, always in the company of my owners, to be shared with all geocachers that are over there.

A geocoin portuguesa de 2009 representa Luís Vaz de Camões, o grande poeta português, bem como a sua obra-prima “Os Lusíadas”, que relata a epopeia da descoberta do caminho marítimo para a Índia pelos navegadores portugueses. Na frente da geocoin, pode ver-se a figura de Luís Vaz de Camões e um pergaminho, no qual se pode ler o I Canto d' "Os Lusíadas". No verso da geocoin pode ver-se o mapa da viagem feita pelos navegadores portugueses aquando da descoberta do caminho marítimo para a Índia, bem como os seus pontos de paragem e respetivas datas.

Claro que uma geocoin só está completa com o respetivo ícone, que neste caso foi também desenhado pelo Maxado. A produção esteve a cargo da Direct Mint.

The Portuguese geocoin of 2009 represents Luís Vaz de Camões, the great Portuguese poet, as well as his masterpiece "Os Lusíadas", which relates the epic of the discovery of the maritime route to India by the Portuguese navigators. In front of the geocoin, one can see the figure of Luís Vaz de Camões and a parchment, in which one can read the I Canto d' "Os Lusíadas". On the back of the geocoin you can see the map of the trip made by the Portuguese navigators when discovering the sea route to India, as well as their stopovers and dates.

Of course a geocoin is only complete with its icon, which in this case was also drawn by Maxado. Production was handled by Direct Mint.
