If there is room for a nano cache, then there is room for a nano bug!
Nanobug is a hardy critter, and can cope with living outside of caches. He can sit next to a magnetic nano cache, attached to a metal keychain nanos and even inside the lids of ammo cans. Please take him where no bug has ever been before! Make nano cache owners confused about how someone has left a bug in their cache!
Nanobug loves to travel, see cities and go where bigger bugs can't. Dip him as you travel, upload photos of the sights that he has seen (don't worry about whether he is in shot, he's no looker). Most importantly - always place very close to a cache, either touching it or in a similar hiding spot nearby, else he might get lost.
Remember these nano logging tips:
- Sign small! Your initials and the date without the year are enough. I sign nanos like this: LC 5/6
- Put the log slip back in the lid, not the base.
- If you're going out hunting for nanos, print and take spare logs to replace any which are full.
FAQ:
- This isn't the cache! Where's the cache??? - It should be right there, next to NANOBUG. Take another look!
- How come this bug is in my cache? My cache isn't big enough for bugs. - Think outside the box!
- How do I dip him? - Whilst Nanobug is travelling with you, he will be in your inventory. Everytime you log a cache, select the 'visited' option from the drop down box when you complete the online cache log. This will produce a map which shows everywhere he's been, not just the overnight stops.
- But it's a pig! - ZOMG! You've found panic pig, previously presumed missing and gone forever, last seen in January 2011. Keep hold of him and send me a note.
