This TB Sticker has been placed on a piano that is part of the global "Play Me I'm Yours" art installation by Luke Jerram.

14 pianos were placed in various locations around downtown Austin during April, 2011. The one this sticker is attached to was placed right next to my cache, "The Drake Bridge" (GCT86D) on the First street hike and bike path on the west side of the Drake (First Street) Bridge.

The pianos will be removed on May 1, 2011. Some will go to schools, others to community organizations, others may travel elsewhere. Where will this one go? I have no idea. It may not go anywhere special, but then again, it just might.

So keep an eye out for this piano and then locate the TB sticker on it. It's not hard to find. In fact, you can see it in the photos. Discover it and check it into the nearest cache if it has not already been done so we can keep track of where it is.

Mrs_HiDude and her group of runners saw this sitting out there in the rain. She came home concerned about it and wanted me to look into trying to save it. We went and checked it out and at that point, I figured something was up, so I did some research and found out that these are all over the world. Supposedly it started in Chicago and is kept quiet, so that people will do exactly what we did, congregate around it. A lady even sat down and played some on it, which just drew more attention to it. Very cool!

The travel bug is attached and polyurethane was applied over it so, hopefully, it should be there for a while. I don't know that this piano will actually travel much, if at all, but I guess we'll see! Sorry about the pics. I guess I was standing in shadow or the brim of my hat messed things up. It was actually a bright and gorgeous day out there today. But then again, that weird blue glow is very "Austin", isn't it? :)

Discovered while at a conference over at the Palmer Center while looking for the nearby cache. This is a "check in" spot on Gowalla, too as is the Drake Bridge. 4 for the price of 1! Gotta love Austin, right? :) Thanks!
