O objetivo desta geocoin é ir ao máximo de eventos possível, sempre na companhia dos meus donos, para ser partilhada com todos os geocachers que lá estejam.

Esta moeda pertence à nossa coleção pessoal, desde 24 de julho de 2014. Pertenceu anteriormente ao geocacher: Bolachinha.

The goal of this geocoin is to go to as many events as possible, always in the company of my owners, to be shared with all geocachers that are over there.

A ideia para a concretização desta geocoin partiu do PLnauta, tendo sido apresentada em Outubro de 2008 num tópico inicial que demonstrou existirem muitos interessados. Na verdade, a ideia foi aproveitar um desenho que tinha sido proposto pelo geocacher Sandro (Kitiara & Sal) para a geocoin portuguesa de 2008 (acabou por ser escolhida a Guitarra Portuguesa).

Tal como explicado pelo PLnauta quando apresentou a ideia, a geocoin seria uma forma de referir a primeira geocache portuguesa, marcando assim o início do geocaching em Portugal. O nome inicialmente pensado para a geocoin foi Geocaching in Portugal since May 2001, motivado pela cache GC8EF9: Translant Chess Cache, criada em Maio de 2001, que seria, supostamente, a primeira cache portuguesa. Efectivamente, a cache mais antiga de Portugal, criada em Fevereiro de 2001, é a GC1DA: AlfaRomeu Abandonado!. Assim, o PLnauta optou por não incluir o mês no nome da geocoin, ficando apenas Geocaching in Portugal since 2001.

A face da geocoin inclui referências à História de Portugal, nomeadamente através da inclusão de datas associadas ao estabelecimento da Nacionalidade. O desenho usado foi exactamente o desenho porposto pelo Sal. O verso inclui um mapa de Portugal continental e ilhas, pintados de azul ou coloridos por distrito, no caso da versão limitada da geocoin.

Para a escolha do icon desta geocoin, foi criado mais um tópico com um concurso para a escolha do icon, tendo sido feitas várias propostas interessantes, de onde acabou por ser escolhida a versão correspondente à primeira bandeira de Portugal.

The idea for the realization of this geocoin started from PLnauta and was presented in October 2008 in an initial topic that demonstrated that there were many interested parties. In fact, the idea was to take advantage of a design that had been proposed by geocacher Sandro (Kitiara & Sal) for the Portuguese geocoin of 2008 (it was eventually chosen the Portuguese Guitar).

As explained by PLnauta when presenting the idea, the geocoin would be a way of referring to the first Portuguese geocache, marking the beginning of geocaching in Portugal. The name initially thought for the geocoin was Geocaching in Portugal since May 2001, motivated by the cache GC8EF9: Translant Chess Cache, created in May of 2001, that would supposedly be the first Portuguese cache. In fact, the oldest cache in Portugal, created in February 2001, is GC1DA: AlfaRomeu Abandonado!. Thus, PLnauta chose not to include the month in the name of the geocoin, leaving only Geocaching in Portugal since 2001.

The face of the geocoin includes references to the History of Portugal, namely through the inclusion of dates associated with the establishment of Nationality. The design used was exactly the design porposto by Sal. The back includes a map of mainland Portugal and islands, painted blue or colored by district, in the case of the limited version of the geocoin.

To choose the icon of this geocoin, another topic was created with a contest to choose the icon, and several interesting proposals were made, from where the version corresponding to the first flag of Portugal was finally chosen.
