This coin is being released as part of the Todie's Wild Ride Bike Awareness Project initiated by Rockin Roddy in response to the death of his good friend Tod Phillips. On August 12, 2008, Tod was riding a motorcycle when he was killed in an accident caused by a left turning vehicle. Tod was one third of Team Rod & Tod w/KAboom. This coin is released in his memory and in memory of all motorcyclists killed on the road.

This coin is part of a huge mission to raise awareness of bikes (both motorized and human powered) on the roadways.

How many times have you said, "I Wish You Were Here" about a loved one who is no longer with us? More than a couple of times I would guess.

Well, wishing will not bring back those lost loved ones for you or for any one else. What can I do to make it so that myself and others won't have to say that phrase anymore?

Well, one thing we can all do to keep ourselves from haaving to say that phrase is to pay more attention when we are out on the roads. Not just those who drive cars and trucks but those who ride motorcycles and bikes of all sorts. If we all just pay more attention then inevitably there can be only one solution: LESS FATAL ACCIDENTS!!

So make sure when you go out today and everday that you PAY ATTENTION to what you are doing. When you are driving or riding pay more attention to what you are doing and stop paying attention to all the distractions around you and you may find yourself not having to say, "WISH YOU WERE HERE" as often as you might if you don't pay attention.

We found this coin. Whe're just started with geocaching and this is our first trackable item. We both ride a bike and thats why this coin has our interest. We keep it for a small time, because we gonna take it with us on our planned holiday. TOD IS GONNA TRAVEL AGAIN! This time to another country.
