About This Item

577th Aurora Firebirds

A metal travel bug dog tag affixed to a circular plastic key chain of blue, showing the symbol of the 577th USS Aurora's Marine Strike Group, a purple Firebird with a white-blue star at it's breast rising from a hollow silver chevron (arrowhead) design over a double yellow-gold bar background that is synonymous with Star Trek.

This travel bug was created and is watched by an group of people involved with an international Star Trek fan club. The USS Aurora chapter has an affiliated Marine unit attachment that shares a number of interesting hobbies, including the love of geocaching and a purpose of finding ways to make our world a better place. Local CITO cache events are just one of the many draws to Groundspeak and Geocaching, and we are looking forward to learning about new places, people and cities as the Firebird Probe makes it's way around the world.
